NDIS High-Intensity Nursing Care

Flame Lily provides high-intensity nursing care for NDIS participants with complex needs. This service is designed for situations where a participant requires direct clinical support in the home particularly after hospital discharge, when routines have changed, or where high-risk supports require hands-on nursing involvement.

We also work alongside providers and support teams to strengthen safe delivery through care planning, RN oversight, and staff training, where appropriate.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • Who is high-intensity nursing care for?

High-intensity nursing care is for NDIS participants with complex needs who require hands-on clinical support for higher-risk routines, post-hospital transitions or complex care requirements at home.

  • What types of high-intensity supports do you provide?

Support may include enteral feeding (PEG/NG routines), catheter support, complex bowel care, epilepsy/seizure support, complex wound care, dysphagia/mealtime guidance, respiratory supports (including tracheostomy support) and other complex needs where clinically appropriate.

  • Is high-intensity nursing care available 24/7?

Service frequency depends on the participant’s needs, risk profile and available funding. Support may be time-limited (e.g., post-hospital) or ongoing, with visit frequency agreed based on clinical need.

  • Do you provide in-person services, or is it Telehealth?

We offer face-to-face video consults (Teams/Zoom) Australia-wide where suitable, and in-person services across select NSW areas including Illawarra/Wollongong, Shoalhaven/Nowra, Southern Highlands, Campbelltown and the Sutherland Shire (plus surrounding suburbs).

  • Can you work with my provider/support team?

Yes. With consent, we can liaise with providers, support coordinators and support workers to support safe implementation and consistent routines across shifts.

Yes. If a Nursing Care Plan is needed to support safe delivery, we can develop an RN-written, audit-ready plan and recommend training and review triggers as required.
